We are delighted to inform that Piotr Widacki, former Head of Digital Transformation at BNP Paribas, has joined Corviglia as Principal!

Luxembourg/London/Moscow, September 20, 2019

Corviglia Capital Fund, a global fintech growth equity investor, is honored to inform that Piotr Widacki has joined the team from 1st of September this year.

Piotr is the new technologies enthusiast, innovator and solutions creator, with proven track record of effectively developing and implementing strategic initiatives in financial services. Involved in 5 banking start-up projects: founder member of Alior Bank and Alior Sync; strategy consultant for Telenor, MTS and T-Mobile Banking Services.

We believe that Piotr’s unique combination of management consulting approach with extensive in-house hands-on experience, will perfectly complements Corviglia’s team competences.

  • led digital transformation and supported Bank in its journey ‘from bricks to clicks’
  • fintech & startups ecosystem: opened BNP Paribas for cooperation with fintechs (successfully implemented 20+ startup’s solutions (finalist of ‘The Heart Open Innovation 2017 Awards’ in ‘Leader’ & ‘Startups Choice’; Golden Banker 2019 for Fintech Cooperation)
  • new ways of working: Agile, Design Thinking & Customer Journeys
  • crushing silos & stimulating the innovative spirit inside the organization

Asseco SEE – Head of Digital Transformation Consultancy (2014 – 2017):

  • established and led company’s consultancy services
  • worked with banking executives in SEE (12 countries) & supported them in creation of digital transformation strategies
  • internal & external evangelization on emerging trends & fintech
  • cooperation with fintech startups; partnerships & M&A’s

Alior Bank (green filed investment, EUR 400m) – Director of Internet Department (2007 – 2013):

  • built from scratch and managed the Internet Department consisting of 4 teams responsible for Internet and mobile banking, web portal, online sales, e-commerce, customer experience and innovations
  • author and executive of strategies for Internet and mobile banking and the web portal
  • developed from scratch and executed strategies for online sales and e-commerce
  • author of many innovative and pioneering solutions (fully online customer onboarding, first fully online instant credit process for new customers, first ever world banking implementation of Facebook Money Transfer, new acquisition channels: Grupon, Facebook, PayPal)
